Day 1 : Berau Arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Berau Airport, our guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel via car or minibus. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be an opportunity for a brief sightseeing excursion in town, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture
Day 2 : Jungle Trek, Berau (BLD)
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before a one-hour car ride to Benua Baru Dayak Kayan village. Experience a traditional Dayak ceremony and admire vibrant Dayak arts influenced by Chinese and Vietnamese Dong Son cultures. Witness the unique tradition of women with long ears and tattoos, symbolizing Dayak culture's resilience. Then, travel for an hour to Merasa village along the Lesan River, where a two-hour motor-canoe cruise awaits. Enjoy the lush greenery and wildlife sightings, including otters and monkeys. Explore Pulau Bawan, Orangutan Island, and embark on a jungle trek to waterfalls, old Dayak graves, and limestone caves. Return to Merasa village by canoe in the late afternoon and continue by car for two hours to your hotel in Berau, enjoying lunch and dinner at local restaurants along the way.
Day 3 : Berau, Maratua (BLD)
Indulge in a delightful breakfast at the hotel before enjoying some leisure time at your own pace. Later, you'll be transferred to the Berau harbor for a scenic speedboat journey to Maratua Island. Upon arrival, check in at the resort and relish in the freedom to explore at your leisure. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner at the resort, soaking in the tranquil ambiance of this tropical paradise.
Day 4 - 6 : Maratua (BLD)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, where you can take advantage of the possibility to relax on your terrace, overlooking the serene blue lagoon sea. Alternatively, indulge in a refreshing swim in the pool, snorkel the vibrant sea reefs in front of the resort, kayak in the nearby salt lake, or explore the mangrove forest and Bajau fishermen's villages by cycling around the island. Later, you'll be transferred to the Berau harbor for a scenic speedboat journey to Maratua Island. Upon arrival, check in at the resort and enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at the resort, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Maratua Island.
Day 7 : Maratua, Sangalaki, Kakaban, Derawan (BLD)
After enjoying breakfast at the resort, the morning is yours to relax and explore at your leisure. Later, you'll be transferred to Sangalaki and Kakaban islands. Sangalaki is renowned for its vast Manta reef, offering the incredible opportunity to swim and snorkel alongside these majestic creatures. Additionally, the sea banks of Sangalaki are home to green turtles, adding to the allure of this uninhabited island. Kakaban island is famous for its mesmerizing jellyfish lake, nestled within a mangrove forest and offering stunning views. Underwater, you'll discover vibrant coral reefs, while Cave Point presents a unique experience with a 120-meter-long cave culminating in a breathtaking display of blue sea light. In the late afternoon, the journey continues to Derawan, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at the resort.
Day 8 : Derawan, Berau (B)
After breakfast, we embark on a boat journey across the sea to Berau, where you'll catch your flight to your next destination.
