Day 1 : Arrival Padang on Monday
Upon your arrival in Padang, meeting with your tour guide who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. The afternoon will be free for you to enjoy at your leisure preparing for the adventures awaiting you in the beautiful Mentawai Islands.
Day 2 : Padang - Siberut - Bat Obay/Bat Rorogot Village
Early breakfast, your driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the harbor to catch the fast boat departing for Muara Siberut(Depart every Tuesday). The fast boat is scheduled to leave at 07:00. During the journey, the boat will make stops at Sikabaluan before continuing to Siberut. Anticipate arriving in Siberut around 13:00. Upon arrival, you will meet with your local guide and make necessary preparations, including reporting to the local authorities for trekking permits. The journey will then continue by local motorized canoe along the river to reach Bat Obay or Bat Rorogot village where you'll stay for the night.
Day 3 : Exploring The Native Activities in Bat Obai/Bat Rorogot-Butui Village
Wake up to the serene surroundings and start your day with a refreshing bath in the river. Following breakfast, immerse yourself in the daily activities of the native Mentawai tribe. Witness firsthand the traditional craftsmanship involved in making loincloths, the art of fishing, and the intricate process of tattooing. After exploring the tribe's way of life, continue your journey to Butui village via local motorized canoe. The scenic ride will take approximately 3-4 hours, allowing you to soak in the mesmerizing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival at Butui village, settle into a traditional Mentawai house known as "Uma" for an authentic cultural experience.
Day 4 : Exploring The Native Activities in Butui Village
After breakfast, delve into the traditional ways of the Mentawai tribe. Experience the crafting of poison arrows and embark on a thrilling jungle hunt with Mentawai hunters. Following the hunt, participate in preparing sago, a Mentawai staple, and search for sago worms. Learn the art of traditional medicine, deepening your connection to nature. In the evening, unwind with a mesmerizing traditional dance performance by the Mentawai people. Optional pig fest arrangements are available for those interested in cultural celebrations.
Day 5 : Butui Village – Muntei Village
After breakfast, take advantage of the remaining time to immerse yourself in the vibrant activities of the Mentawai tribe. Later, depart for Muntei Village via a traditional motorized canoe. Along the journey, make a stop at Kulukubuk to explore a picturesque waterfall nestled within the forest. Here, you'll have the opportunity to swim and unwind in the refreshing waters of the waterfall. Following your visit to the waterfall, return to the river and continue your journey to Muntei village. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation for the night, whether it's a traditional Mentawai house or a guest house, and prepare for an evening of relaxation amidst the serene surroundings of Muntei village.
DAY 6 : Muntei - Muara Siberut - Padang
After breakfast, you'll have the morning free to enjoy at your own leisure, whether you choose to explore the village further or simply relax and take in the surroundings. Around noon, you'll be transferred to Muara Siberut to catch the fast ferry back to Padang( Depart every Saturday). Expect to arrive in Padang late afternoon. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel for a rest.
DAY 7 : Padang - Airport
After enjoying your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey to your next destination.
